Pricing

Custom pricing, not a menu

Custom business websites start around $500, with final pricing based on the size, scope, and requirements of the project.

What affects your price

  • Number of pages
  • Amount and complexity of content
  • Design complexity
  • Custom features and functionality
  • Forms and integrations
  • Payment or booking functionality
  • Photo galleries
  • Custom components
  • Branding work
  • Content migration from an existing site
  • Development time
  • Overall project scope

No fixed price, no artificial ceiling

There's no set price list and no hidden maximum — every project gets a custom quote before any commitment is made. A simple service-business site and a large multi-feature site are priced differently because the work involved is different. You'll always know the price before you agree to anything.

Third-party costs — such as domain registration, premium software or services, paid integrations, specialized email, or e-commerce platforms — are identified in your specific proposal when they apply, and are separate from the design fee.

Any initial concept or demo we build proactively as part of a review is for illustration only and does not represent the final scope, features, or price of a project.

Payment Structure

Simple, split in two

Step One

50% to Get Started

Once you approve the proposal and agreement, a deposit of 50% begins the project and kicks off the customization and revision process.

Step Two

50% Before Launch

The remaining 50% is due after your final approval, before the website is published to your business's final domain.

Workflow

How a website project runs, start to finish

A clear, step-by-step process built so a business owner always knows what's happening next.

  1. Website Request

You reach out and we take an honest look at your current site (or the lack of one) at no cost.

  2. Quote & Agreement

We define the scope and send a written quote. Once you approve it, the project is scheduled.

  3. 50% Deposit

The initial deposit is collected to begin work.

  4. Design & Development

Design and development start based on the agreed scope.

  5. Review & Revisions

You review progress and request reasonable changes — up to 3 included revision rounds.

  6. Final Approval

You sign off on the finished website before anything goes live.

  7. Remaining Balance

The final 50% is due before the site is published.

  8. Launch

We connect your domain, set up email/form routing, and publish your website live.

  9. 30-Day Post-Launch Support Included

Every new K-Smitty Labs website includes 30 days of post-launch support at no additional charge, covering minor corrections, launch-related adjustments, and technical issues related to the completed website.

  10. Optional Website Care

Ongoing Website Care is optional and begins separately after the post-launch support period if you choose a Website Care plan.

Revisions

Up to 3 included revision rounds

Reasonable changes are part of the process — this isn't about nickel-and-diming you.

Included revisions cover things like wording, images, layout, section organization, colors, styling, and content placement. It's not unlimited, but it's enough room to get the site feeling right.

Major scope changes — such as adding many extra pages, major new functionality, a complete direction change, advanced integrations, or adding e-commerce — may require an updated quote, since that work goes beyond the original agreement.

Ownership vs. Website Care

You own your website

Your website is purchased through a one-time custom design and development fee — it's yours. Optional ongoing Website Care simply keeps the site supported, maintained, and up to date after launch.

Every new website includes 30 days of post-launch support at no additional charge for minor corrections, launch-related adjustments, and technical issues. That is not a free month of a Website Care plan — Website Care is optional and starts separately afterward if you choose it. Canceling a care plan never affects ownership of your website.
