Engineering. Digital Design. Fabrication. Robotics. Education.
K-Smitty Labs combines engineering, technology and hands-on design to create custom products, business websites, prototypes, robotics systems and technical learning solutions.
What we do
K-Smitty Labs doesn't sell one thing. It solves problems — with whichever combination of design, fabrication, electronics, software or teaching the job actually calls for.

Featured project
V1 is a working prototype: a 3D-printed six-axis arm with a fixed gripper claw, servo driven and controlled by an Arduino Uno R3. It exists because one project needed CAD, mechanical design, printing, electronics, controls and code at the same time — which is exactly what this lab is built for.
How we work
Same honest process whether it's a replacement part, a prototype, a website, or a classroom lab.
01
Sketches, photos, measurements, a website URL, or just a description.
02
I assess feasibility, scope, and whether I'm actually the right fit — at no cost.
03
A clear proposal with what's included, before you commit to anything.
04
Design previews, prototypes, or website drafts with included revision rounds.
05
Nothing ships or launches until you've signed off on it.
06
Parts produced and shipped, or your site launched and cared for.

Countertop straw dispenser sized for reusable tumbler straws. Perfect fit for kitchen counters, snack trolleys, and everyday carry.
Web & Digital
No website, an outdated one, or a site that falls apart on a phone? K-Smitty Labs builds and redesigns clean, fast, mobile-first websites for local and small businesses — contractors, HVAC, electricians, plumbers, landscapers, churches, retailers and service companies. Custom sites start around $500, with final pricing based on the size and scope of your project.

In development
These are honest works in progress — not products shipping today. Follow along or join the interest list and you'll hear the moment they're real.
Prototype / in development
Three- and six-axis servo arms, grippers, scoop and electromagnet end effectors, and automated stations — designed with classroom use in mind, built on the working V1 platform.

Arduino, circuit analysis, motors and controls, PLCs, VFDs, sensors and mechatronics — hands-on technical material written by someone who has taught it.
Education & curriculumWhy K-Smitty Labs
Parts start as parametric CAD with tolerances and load paths considered. Websites start with how your customers actually find and contact you.
Free review, written scope, and a custom quote before anything is charged. No surprise invoices, no vague deliverables.
Functional parts survive real loads. Websites load fast on a phone in a truck. Practical always beats flashy.
Mechanical, electrical, software and education under one roof — so the solution isn't limited by the tools someone happens to own.

Patriotic USA Coaster Set
“It's pretty good. The threads on mine feel a bit loose and chunky. I'm relatively new to printing, so I will put some of that on me. It's a fun little fidget to spin and play with though.”
